Cob House in Co. Sligo

Feile's own family home, this house was an exercise in using as many low-embodied-carbon materials as possible. This was achieved by using locally-sourced, minimally-processed materials such as mud (from site) and straw bales, salvaged materials such as slates, structural timber, floorboards, basins and bath, radiators, and low-carbon materials such as lime.

The house was runner-up in Home of the Year 2015 and has featured in multiple blogs, magazine and newspaper articles.
